When the IT Certification Council got started in 2008, we knew professionals in the industry were hungry to collaborate with their peers. We made it our mission to provide opportunities for collaboration while also sharing valuable resources. We still believe in that work to this day. That commitment, along with today’s ever-growing need for finding virtual ways to connect with one another, put us on a path to find a solution to continue providing resources developed by and for you, while also creating a space for connection.
We feel the answer is an online community for our members – a community that allows members to share their expertise with one another all centralized on our website.
In adding this new functionality, we redesigned the entire ITCC website, including a refresh to our logo. We’ll continue to share the information our members want and need, like our COVID-19 Impact Considerations document. We also know our members are the top tier players in the industry – you have valuable knowledge and experience. Our redesigned website allows you to easily access the information we have, like white papers, blog posts, meeting replays and notices about upcoming events, but also provides a space for continued community-building and collaboration with your peers.
“ITCC members support the world’s technology needs,” said Kristin Bernor, ITCC Marketing Task Force Chairperson. “We wanted to create a community for our members to come together while having access to industry best practices – all in one place. We’re known for understanding what our members need and then creating it. Establishing a member portal with a collaboration space is the next evolution of that approach.”
Another factor in redesigning the site was the record-breaking growth in membership this year. With new members joining the council in droves, the board believed now was the time to rethink the presentation of the council – what it is, what it believes in, what purpose it serves – and the format and vehicles for connecting members.
“This year’s membership growth is the highest since ITCC’s inception back in 2008,” said Kristin Wall, ITCC Board of Directors Chairperson. “As professionals from the IT certification industry are familiarizing themselves with us, we want them to understand exactly who we are and how dedicated we are to serving this industry. We love our community, and we’re driven to create and distribute information that will bring members together.”
As we continue our commitment to serving our industry and its workforce, we see this new online community as another step in the direction toward greater connection and growth. We look forward to the collaboration we believe this new community will facilitate. Check it out and start collaborating with your peers today, and let us know what you think of the new site and logo.
