Washington Management and Marketing Center (WMMC) recently established a new division, The Cyber Training Consortium, with a mission to conduct high quality, cost-effective cybersecurity training. The first member of the Consortium is Department of Defense (DoD), and WMMC is planning to start a new division to provide employers with verification of employee certifications. Support from the ITCC has been requested in this effort.

Benefits to ITCC Members
The ability to easily verify that an individual holds the current certifications
Immediate alert that the employee’s certification has lapsed
Access to the database of employee certifications when needed (e.g. searching for individuals with the needed certifications for a proposal or project team; verifying that employees on current projects have current certifications; verify current certifications when the supervisor is conducting performance appraisals)

The ITCC Member Meeting Conference Call on July 17 will focus its discussion on this initiative, with presentations by George Bieber and Mary Fran Coffey.
