In 2019, the IT Certification Council created a new award aimed at highlighting the dedication we see in so many of our members, especially those who are part of our Task Forces. These Task Force members put so much of their time and effort into the resources ITCC provides to the industry through our projects and research.
The 2020 Outstanding Contributor Award was presented to Susan Farago, from Scaled Agile, at the October Fall Member Meeting.
Susan has gone above and beyond in making impactful contributions to the ITCC this year. When the ITCC board of directors met to discuss potential recipients, her name came up multiple times due to her involvement in not just one, but three Task Forces. In all three groups, Susan regularly stepped up to move things forward. Her efforts were incredibly valuable to the work each team accomplished this year.
“When the board began our discussions, I knew Susan was the person I was excited to bring up and discuss,” said Kristin Wall, ITCC Board Chair, at the member meeting. As each board member shared their thoughts, Kristin recalled, Susan’s name just kept coming up due to her participation in multiple Task Forces. “We all had such great things to say about Susan,” said Kristin. “I’ve known her for many years and I’m so happy to present her this award.”
After receiving the award, Susan shared a few words. “I was just telling Kristin today that it makes my heart so happy to get to spend the day with everybody here,” she said at the meeting. “I’ve worked with many of you for 20 or 25 years. You’re my people. Winning this award is just the icing on the cake.”
Congratulations to Susan! Thank you for everything you’ve given to the ITCC this year. And thank you to all of our Task Force members who are dedicated to creating invaluable resources for the IT certification industry.
